JA Entrepreneurship Summer Experience

A unique summer experience for current and prospective Business, Management, and Finance cluster program students entering grades 8 ,9 and 10.

The JA Entrepreneurship Summer Experience will teach students the mindset and the skills needed for success from aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators from the Maryland region through enrichment activities and engaging mentor moments. Students will also learn the importance of BMF cluster program completion and become equipped with tools to help guide them through their high school years. 

The program will be held from 10am-2pm daily. Attendees may attend as a sequence or individual weeks. This FREE program will be delivered in a hybrid format with students meeting in-person the first and last day of camp each week at Junior Achievement’s Regional Workforce and Innovation Center located at 1725 Twin Springs Road, Baltimore MD 21227. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday activities will be held online using a virtual platform (i.e. ZOOM).

Parents can enroll their students for 1, 2 or all 3 weeks of the JA Entrepreneurship Summer Experience by filling out the information below. You do not need to fill out a separate form for each week.

Week 1- July 12-July 16: JA Be Entrepreneurial- Creative Problem Solving- REGISTRATION CLOSED

Week 2-July 19-July 23: JA Be Entrepreneurial- Think Like an Entrepreneur
Students develop a mindset that enables opportunity identification, innovation, value creation, and problem-solving. They learn the entrepreneurial principles, strategies, and skills through others' experiences and apply them to their own lives.

Week 3- July 26-July 30: JA Be Entrepreneurial- Rapid Business Planning
Students learn about lean business planning foundations using the Lean Canvas, a streamlined, one-page business plan template. Rapid business planning is emphasized to test and refine the approach in continuous improvement cycles.

Spots are limited for the JA Entreprenuership Summer Experience. If interested in participating, please fill out the registration form below or on the correlating page listed on the events tab. Parents must complete a separate registration form for each child interested in participating.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason your child cannot participate in this camp and you have already registered, please immediately contact Jonaye Ford at JFord@jamaryland.org as soon as possible with notice of cancellation. Canceling without alerting Junior Achievement will result in another camper possibly being unable to participate.
